In 2004, Janice Kamenir Reznik was considering retirement from a successful career as an environmental lawyer when just by chance she attended a service at her local synagogue that literally changed her life. This was at the height of the genocide in Darfur, and her rabbi spoke that day about their responsibility as a Jewish community to never again let genocide go on in silence.
