Jewish World Watch is seeking a Full-Time (Monday thru Friday) Executive Assistant to join our Organization. Working from our Encino, CA office, you’ll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment. In addition to being organized, analytical, strategic, and resourceful, you must possess strong business judgment and communication skills needed to interact with a variety of people and job functions. High enthusiasm, creativity, and resourcefulness are crucial, as is a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • This person will be a proactive member of the team by volunteering and participating in events and committees while providing input and suggestions.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Must have the ability to incorporate creative approaches to various projects by taking initiative and working independently
  • Prepare reports and/or special projects, which may include data collection as assigned
  • Become familiar with all department functions in order to communicate effectively and accurately
  • Must be a creative, high energy, hands on professional who can successfully multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Providing administrative assistance, such as database reporting, writing and editing e-mails, drafting memos, and preparing communications on behalf of the Executive Director
  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records 
  • Performing minor accounting duties 
  • Organizing meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary
  • Answering phone calls in a polite and professional manner
  • Managing the Executive Director’s calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, programs and applications.  Strong scheduling and coordination skills, and comfortable with last-minute changes

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferred
  • Two years of clerical/administrative experience preferred
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook required; PowerPoint strongly preferred;
  • Must operate well in a team environment as well as perform job duties with little supervision
  • Ability to work flexible schedules if needed.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible working attitude, while performing job duties in stressful situations or handling complex communication
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner
  • Must be able to professionally handle sensitive information and maintain complete confidentiality
  • Support additional duties and projects as needed
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • Someone who’s highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive work-style
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment with an optimistic approach to work and life
  • Incredibly proactive and able to take initiative and work efficiently with approach to your work
  • Experience with planning events

SALARY/BENEFITS:

Salary is $38,000 -45,000

Competitive/commensurate with experience and other qualifications. All 23 major Jewish holidays
observed and early closure on Friday for Shabbat. Generous vacation and paid sick leave benefits.
