The resolution provided the first internationally recognized legal definition of \u201cgenocide\u201d and affirmed a worldwide commitment to the idea that \u201cnever again\u201d will the world be silent while people suffer.<\/p><p>Despite this monumental decision, genocide remains a stark reality for millions.<\/p><p>Today, as we remember and honor the victims of past genocides, we must also continue to bring help and healing to the survivors of contemporary genocides by amplifying their voices, demanding justice and providing vital resources as they rebuild. We must be steadfast in our commitment to combat such heinous acts.<\/p><p>Jewish World Watch was founded in response to international silence and inaction around the genocide in Darfur, where violence continues nearly two decades later.
