On his first day in office, President Joe Biden took an important step in support of refugees by signing a new executive order that reverses the xenophobic travel ban, renewing the United States\u2019 commitment to ethical leadership.<\/p>\n

We believe that within the first 100 days, the new administration and legislature must pass policy that will reverse the damage of the ongoing genocide and prevent Uyghur forced labor in China<\/a>. Additionally, the United States must swiftly review the dire reality in Myanmar<\/a> and declare the military\u2019s actions against the Rohingya people a genocide.<\/p>\n

Here are a few quick ways you can help:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 Please send Sen. Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) a warm welcome and ask that he share our commitment to human rights by supporting Uyghur forced labor prevention legislation in the new Congress.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2013 Urge Secretary of State Antony Blinken<\/a> to apply a genocide designation to the Myanmar military\u2019s actions against the Rohingya people.<\/p>\n

Despite the spread of so much hate and violence worldwide, we are optimistic about the change we will make together in the coming years.<\/p>\n
