Regional conflict can often get lost in the din of constantly breaking news, but Azeri aggression \u2013 supported by Turkish military might \u2013 in this region of the Caucasus demanded our attention. Leaders across sectors stepped up and stood in solidarity.<\/p><p>After six weeks of fighting in Artsakh, a deal was struck to bring an end to hostilities that puts in the driver&#8217;s seat powerful foes of an Armenian government that have sought throughout history its annihilation. &#8220;Armenians,&#8221; the New York Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/11\/11\/opinion\/armenia-azerbaijan-peace-deal.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/11\/11\/opinion\/armenia-azerbaijan-peace-deal.html\">wrote<\/a>, &#8220;are shattered and fearful.&#8221;<\/p><p>The Jewish community commemorated Kristallnacht earlier this week, a night in which our houses of worship and businesses were shattered and when 30,000 Jews were rounded up and taken to concentration camps. The world, at the time, responded with silence and inaction.
