The result of that response has been: an international war, the rise of various extremist groups, the deaths of over 400,000 individuals, and the displacement of over 14 million people.<\/p>\n<p>The Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act of 2016, H.R. 5732, seeks to stop the slaughter of the Syrian people through diplomatic and economic strategies.
