Our hope for the first 100 days of the Biden Administration

On his first day in office, President Joe Biden took an important step in support of refugees by signing a new executive order that reverses the xenophobic travel ban, renewing the United States’ commitment to ethical leadership.

We believe that within the first 100 days, the new administration and legislature must pass policy that will reverse the damage of the ongoing genocide and prevent Uyghur forced labor in China. Additionally, the United States must swiftly review the dire reality in Myanmar and declare the military’s actions against the Rohingya people a genocide.

Here are a few quick ways you can help:

– Please send Sen. Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) a warm welcome and ask that he share our commitment to human rights by supporting Uyghur forced labor prevention legislation in the new Congress.

Urge Secretary of State Antony Blinken to apply a genocide designation to the Myanmar military’s actions against the Rohingya people.

Despite the spread of so much hate and violence worldwide, we are optimistic about the change we will make together in the coming years.

“The new dawn blooms as we free it. For there is always light. If only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it.”
