Make Your Voice Heard at the Presidential Debates!

The debates throughout the primary and general election season are a huge opportunity for you to make your voice heard and ask the candidates serious questions about genocide and atrocities prevention. By introducing these questions, we start a narrative on genocide prevention — one which the candidates, and then future President, will be beholden to.

Check back here for updates as we approach each debate.

Ask the Candidates Questions

On November 14th CBS News will be hosting the next Democratic Presidential debate, and they want your questions. CBS is partnering with Twitter to monitor tweets and questions for the candidates in real time.

Here are a few pro-tips!

  • Make sure you always use the hashtag #DemDebate so your tweets are tracked during the debate, and have a better chance of being asked.
  • If you start your tweet with a candidate’s Twitter handle make sure you put a period before the @ so your tweet can be seen by everyone and not just the person you are tweeting to. For example: @HillaryClinton will only be visible to Hillary. But, .@HillaryClinton will be seen by all.
  • If you use someone’s handle in the middle of your tweet, you don’t need the period. For example: “Dear @BernieSanders how would you…”
  • Try to include Jewish World Watch’s twitter handle (@JWorldWatch) at the end of your tweet to show people you’re part of the JWW community.

Here are a few example tweets to get you started, but feel free to make them your own. Be sure to target each tweet at each candidate!
