Announcement regarding COVID-19 and the Walk to End Genocide

With the continuing spread and deep uncertainty about the impact of COVID-19 Coronavirus on our community, we at Jewish World Watch want you to know that your health and safety is uppermost in our minds. We have therefore decided to postpone our April Walks to End Genocide until late October.

The Conejo Valley Walk will take place on Oct. 18, 2020, and the Los Angeles Walk at Pan Pacific Park will be on Oct. 25, 2020. We want you to know we deeply appreciate your continued support, and we hope that you will stay involved in our advocacy, education and fundraising for our work in the meantime.

Times like these remind us of how precious life is and how interconnected our world is – facts that are at the core of Jewish World Watch’s mission. We continue to be especially concerned for all of the intensely vulnerable people we serve. They, and all those suffering everywhere, keep us vigilant in the face of global challenges.

The amazing work we do together will continue. We will still be sending you critical information so you can to write to your representatives about life-saving legislation for survivors of conflict.

Our weekly Global Updates will keep you informed about developments worldwide. We will also let you know about exciting ways to prepare for the October Walks, which you will be able to do from wherever you are.

When you join us for new and inspiring webinars, Zoom conference calls or participate in our advocacy efforts during the next six months, we will reward you with “Walk Points” to exchange toward game or food tickets, as well as great new merchandise.

We thank you for staying with us on this journey to educate our community about our work, as well as to advocate for and support survivors. The need for your participation is as important now as ever.

The fight against genocide and mass atrocities will not pause, and your participation makes a huge difference, so thank you for being an UpStander!

Please contact us at walk@jww.org if you have any questions. We appreciate all of the ways that you participate in this life-saving work.

Wishing everyone will stay safe and healthy,
The Board and Staff of Jewish World Watch
