JWW’s Serena Oberstein named Activist of the Year by Asm. Jesse Gabriel

Jewish World Watch (JWW) Executive Director Serena Oberstein received the second annual Activist of the Year award from California State Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel in Woodland Hills on December 1. The Activist of the Year Award is an honor presented to a community member in the San Fernando Valley who creates an impact locally and beyond.

“[Jewish World Watch] is an organization that works across cultures, across geographic boundaries to protect the most vulnerable people on the planet,” Rep. Gabriel said during his remarks, “we are incredibly grateful for the remarkable human rights advocacy work that [Serena] has done across the globe.”

Rep. Grabriel’s Valley Community Leadership Awards, held at The Local Peasant in Woodland Hills, recognized 13 change-makers, including:
